In a brief statement released by Yorick, the Community Admin of WB Games, Yorick explains that the developers have been working on the port for a long time. Interactive today announced that the older-gen version of Mortal Kombat X will not be seeing the light of day.
While Mortal Kombat X has now seen a release on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC, gamers who still play on their older consoles have been left waiting for theirs, with the Mortal Kombat X port being delayed repeatedly. Mortal Kombat X, the latest iteration of the long-running franchise, was promised to be released on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360 since the game was announced. Unfortunately for fighting game fans still using the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, one recent game isn't going to make it to their consoles at all. In many cases, players using last-gen consoles have to wait a while longer to get their hands on a port of the new game. Many game manufacturers support gamers who continue to use their last-gen systems, at least for a couple years, but eventually the ports for last-gen systems cease. While many gamers leap at the first opportunity to get their hands on the next generation of consoles, not everyone can or does.
